OrthoPulse®

Light-Accelerated Orthodontics

Doctors around the world have been using OrthoPulse with their patients to accelerate orthodontic treatment times in a safe and convenient way. OrthoPulse is an established device that uses low levels of light energy to stimulate the bone surrounding the roots of your teeth and facilitate tooth movement. This could reduce treatment time for braces or clear aligners, and OrthoPulse is the first device of its kind cleared by the FDA for use with both braces or clear aligners.

How OrthoPulse Works

Over 50% of the light that we receive from the sun is in the near infrared (nIR) spectrum. We cannot see it, but we can feel the warmth on our skin. OrthoPulse uses the same natural light, or low intensity nIR, to gently deliver energy to the bone and tissues around the roots of your teeth. This energy helps remodel the surrounding bone and facilitate tooth movement.

The device itself is specially designed to be safe, comfortable, and effective. The mouthpiece is made of silicone, which is soft, waterproof, and one size fits all. The battery recharges wirelessly, and the device contains Bluetooth® for background syncing and tracking your treatment progress on an iOS device for you and your doctor. A status bar displays during your self-treatment sessions, indicating progress and battery life. All of these features work in harmony with the LED array that delivers safe, low-level light.
